HISTORY

Redford Interfaith Relief began in the summer of 1997, initiated by the Redford Clergy Association. The vision of this group was to have churches work together with Redford Township government and Redford Schools to better serve individuals and families facing food emergencies.

A board of directors was formed and a director was hired in January, 1998 to initiate a program of emergency food services. Redford Interfaith Relief has been in the forefront of demonstrating what can be accomplished when people work together to meet a community need.
